The Division of Arts and Machine Creativity (AMC) is inviting outstanding postdoctoral level young scholars (i.e., recent PhD graduates) to fill the positions of Research Assistant Professor in the Division. Applicants should be a recent PhD graduate in Engineering areas. Applicants are expected to display potentials of injecting new research ideas and exploring funding opportunities for enhancement of the School/Departments’ research capabilities and strengths. Successful candidates should demonstrate a good track record of research publication and independency of leading individual research project for competitive research grant application. They will also be involved in teaching or co-teaching postgraduate and undergraduate courses, if applicable. The major focus areas are as follows:
· Machine Creativity
· Machine-assisted Art Practice
· Critical Studies on Arts and Machine Creativity
· Art Management
Qualifications
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term 2-year contract, renewable subject to performance, funding availability and mutual agreement. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
