Podiatrist Grade 1

We are seeking a newly graduated Podiatrist Grade 1 to work in a full time (80 hours/fortnight) capacity based at Nhill.

RENUMERATION:

• Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Health Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2026.
• Estimated salary per hour: CM2 - Grade 1 Year 1 - $33.9375, CM3 - Grade 1 Year 2 - $35.6600 and CM4 - Grade 1 Year 3 - $37.8425

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• To provide Podiatry services to acute hospital inpatients, community clients and aged care residents.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Essential:

• Tertiary qualification in Podiatry eligible for registration with Podiatry Board/AHPRA.
• Appropriate skills/experience as a base grade practicing clinician.
• Ability to work independently and to manage clinical load and time effectively.
• Possess effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work in a rural setting.

Desirable:

• Understand living and working in rural community.
• Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Competence in using computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other databases such as iCare, OPAL and Uniti. Experience utilising the My Aged Care portal is also desirable.

PRE-REQUISITES:

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
• Working with Children Check.
• Fully vaccinated (including influenza) as per current Department of Health Directives.
• Australian Driver’s Licence.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

• Effectively manage a Podiatry caseload across acute, aged care and community settings.
• Actively contribute as a team member to the effective operation of the Podiatry Department, including attendance at regular team meetings.
• Work effectively and collaboratively within the broader WWHS and Community Health Team context.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with external agencies and strategic partners in relation to effective delivery of Podiatry services and community development across the Wimmera.
