Position Summary
The Logistics Specialist - Warehouse Operations is responsible for managing daily warehouse and logistics activities to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, inventory control, and distribution of materials and finished goods. This role coordinates inbound and outbound shipments, maintains inventory accuracy, supports customer delivery requirements, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to optimize warehouse operations, cost efficiency, and service performance. The incumbent ensures compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain..

Key Responsibilities
1.Warehouse Operations Management

  • Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
  • Ensure optimal warehouse space utilization and proper material handling practices.
  • Coordinate third-party warehouse providers to ensure service levels, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor warehouse performance metrics and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards within the warehouse.

2.Inventory Management & Control

  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and physical stock audits.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and ensure timely adjustment and reconciliation.
  • Monitor inventory levels to support production requirements and customer demand.
  • Ensure availability of critical materials and products while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Support inventory management initiatives to improve stock accuracy and turnover.

3.Logistics & Distribution Coordination

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to internal and external customers.
  • Act as the primary liaison between customers, transportation providers, freight forwarders, and warehouse operations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products by proactively monitoring shipment status and resolving transportation issues.
  • Coordinate shipping documentation and ensure compliance with import/export regulations and company requirements.
  • Support transportation planning and execution to meet customer service and operational objectives.

4.Cost Management & Process Improvement

  • Control logistics and warehousing costs by evaluating shipment methods, consolidating loads, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Analyze logistics and warehouse data to support inventory planning, capacity management, and operational decision-making.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and transportation performance.
  • Assist in developing and updating logistics procedures, work instructions, and operational standards.

5.Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate closely with Production, Procurement, Customer Service, Planning, and Sales teams to support business requirements.
  • Provide logistics and inventory-related reports and performance updates to management.
  • Support customer inquiries and resolve logistics-related issues in a timely manner.

Qualification & Experience
1.Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

2.Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems (Oracle preferred), and inventory management processes.
  • Experience coordinating transportation providers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners.

3.Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics processes.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and coordination abilities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of import/export, shipping documentation, and transportation regulations is an advantage.
  • Certified Customs Expert (Ahli Kepabeanan) preferred.
  • Possession of a valid Dangerous Goods (DG) Certification is preferred.
  • Language: Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia (written and verbal) & Working proficiency in English (especially for documentation and communication with global stakeholders).
