Deli Assistant

SPAR IFSC is looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Deli Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing and serving high-quality food while delivering excellent customer service in a busy retail environment.

• Provide a professional, friendly, and efficient service to all customers
• Prepare, cook, and present deli food products in accordance with company standards
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness at all times
• Follow HACCP procedures and food safety regulations.
• Ensure food displays are fully stocked, fresh, and attractively presented
• Monitor product quality and rotate stock as required
• Handle customer queries and requests in a courteous and helpful manner
• Assist with cleaning duties and general upkeep of the deli area
• Work as part of a team to achieve excellent store standards

Requirements

• Previous experience in a deli, catering, food service, retail, or customer-facing role is desirable but not essential
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures is an advantage
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• A flexible approach to working hours
