Manager, Deal Advisory & Research COE

Job Summary

• Deliver market intelligence, sector research, and business insights that support strategic decision-making, client engagement, and business development initiatives across Coverage Banking.
• The role requires strong corporate finance, valuation, and analytical skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality financial models, pitchbooks, sector analyses, and thematic research papers.
• Contribute towards sector-focused research, market analysis, industry outlooks, and competitive intelligence across key sectors and client segments.
• Deliver high-quality analytics, research content, and business insights that enhance stakeholder decision-making and support client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform industry and market research, covering macro trends, competitive benchmarking, and sector deep dives
• Develop sector outlooks, thematic research, company analyses, and market insights that enable informed business and client decisions.
• Provide client intelligence, executive briefing materials, and strategic research to support client engagement and business development activities.
• Build detailed financial models (like DCF etc.) to value companies, evaluate performance under various operating scenarios and to analyse the impacts of different capital structures.
• Prepare executive briefing notes, company profiles, sector updates, and thematic research while maintaining sector knowledge repositories.
• Develop high-quality presentations, sector pitchbooks, thought leadership content, and management reports for senior stakeholders.
• Translate complex market, industry, and company information into clear, commercially relevant recommendations and insights.
• Maintain knowledge repositories and contribute to continuous improvement of research methodologies, reporting standards, and content delivery practices.

Skills and Experience

• 3+ years of experience in market intelligence, sector research, corporate finance, advisory, or related analytical roles within financial services.
• Prior research experience within banking, financial services, consulting, or market intelligence environment is preferred.
• Strong corporate finance and accounting foundation, with experience in financial modelling, DCF valuation, and financial statement analysis.
• Experience using market data and research platforms such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, LSEG Workspace, Wood Mackenzie, and similar tools.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create client-ready presentations and insights.
• Strong ability to synthesise complex, multi-source data into clear and relevant insights.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to proactively identify opportunities and drive results
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI-enabled tools responsibly and ethically to enhance research, analysis, and productivity.
