Senior Developer - RESTful APIs and Web Services

As a Senior Software Developer, you shall be part of an exciting and rapidly expanding team responsible for designing, building and integrating REST APIs and web applications that put our clients' vision into reality. Your primary role would be software development in the .NET framework, with ownership of REST API design and integration architecture.
• Lead the design, development and maintenance of scalable, secure RESTful APIs and web services that power internal applications and external/partner integrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including TPM's, BA's and developers, to understand business requirements and define API contracts, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Own integrations with third-party and partner REST APIs (and SOAP-based legacy/partner services
where applicable) for supplier, GDS and payment-related data feeds.
• Completion of the assigned tasks within the agreed timescale with high reliability and minimal functional and technical defects.
• May be assigned to work within a development team or alone.
• Must be self-reliant in completion of advanced fault finding, debugging and performance tuning of
applications and API integrations.
• Design and develop new applications, as well as enhancements to existing applications and APIs.
• Conduct thorough testing (including API/unit/integration testing) to ensure application and API
functionality, security and stability.
• Provide technical support to resolve issues related to developed applications and integrations.
• Create and maintain technical and API documentation (e.g., Swagger/OpenAPI) throughout the software development life cycle.
• Conduct code reviews with a focus on API design quality and security, and work as a mentor to junior developers.
• Provide task estimates to the TPM/Lead.
• Work on moderately to highly complex tasks, including integration with SOAP-based legacy or partner systems where required.

REST API / Web Services
• Hands-on experience designing, building and consuming RESTful APIs/web services (primary
requirement).
• Experience with ASP.NET (Web API/MVC) to build scalable APIs and web applications.
• Good understanding of API design principles - HTTP verbs, status codes, JSON, authentication
(OAuth2/JWT/API keys) and versioning.
• Familiarity with API documentation and testing tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI and Postman.

.NET Development
• Solid understanding and strong proficiency in C# and the .NET Framework/.NET Core.
• Solid understanding of Entity Framework and fluent in writing LINQ Queries.
• Proficiency in writing efficient, secure, and well-documented code.
• Knowledge of code versioning systems, preferably SVN/Git.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Preferred Skills
Experience with the following will be considered an added benefit:
• Exposure to SOAP-based web services.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts (writing queries, joins, basic stored
procedures), preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
• Knowledge or experience working with Angular JS/Angular.
• Staying updated on industry trends and advancements in API and .NET development.

Experience Required
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development, with substantial hands-on experience
designing and developing REST APIs.
Qualifications Required
• Graduate in Computer Science or IT Engineering fields preferred.
• Graduate in other field of studies with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
