Job Description

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to analyze attack patterns, develop incident response plans, ensure audit readiness, and implement disaster recovery measures, to ensure adherence to cyber security regulatory frameworks.

Areas of responsibility

Monitoring and Incident Detection-Analyse attack trends and correlate logs across systems to identify advance threats. Enhance monitoring processes and implement improvements for faster detection, to ensure compliance with security frameworks and regulatory standards.

Incident Handling and Analysis-Perform root cause analysis, create incident response plans and implement disaster recovery measures to minimize business disruption

Threat Assessment and Analytics-Undertake forensic analysis using advanced analytics tools and implement mitigation measures to align with compliance requirements.

Stakeholder Coordination and Audit Assistance-"Liaise with cross functional teams, external vendors and auditors to ensure compliance with security frameworks.

Maintain audit documentation and ensure its accuracy while implementing processes that support audit readiness and continuous compliance."

Training and Awareness-Assist in creating and delivering cybersecurity awareness sessions, including guidance on phishing and malicious emails.

ACS (Access Control System)

Role Summary

The Access Control System Engineer / Administrator is responsible for the implementation, operation, and support of enterprise‑wide physical access control systems. The role ensures secure, compliant, and highly available access management across offices, ODCs, and restricted facilities in alignment with organizational security and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities :-

Access Control Operations & Administration

• Administer and manage Access Control Systems including cardholder lifecycle management (creation, modification, deactivation).
• Configure access levels, access groups, schedules, and door permissions as per security policy.
• Manage credential technologies (RFID cards, biometric credentials, mobile credentials, PINs).
• Ensure accurate and timely access provisioning/de‑provisioning aligned with HR and identity workflows.

System Implementation & Integration

• Support implementation and commissioning of access control hardware including controllers, readers, biometric devices, turnstiles, and door hardware.
• Integrate ACS with Identity Management, HR systems, Visitor Management Systems, CCTV/VMS, fire alarm systems, and building management systems.
• Participate in design reviews, technical evaluations, and OEM/vendor coordination during new deployments or modernization projects.

Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Support

• Monitor system health, logs, alarms, and events to ensure system availability.
• Troubleshoot ACS application, controller, network, and device‑level issues.
• Provide L2/L3 support for incidents, outages, and access issues within SLA.
• Coordinate with OEMs and integrators (VENDORS ) for defect resolution and upgrades.

Security, Compliance & Audit

• Ensure access control operations comply with internal security policies and statutory requirements.
• Maintain logs, audit trails, and reports for investigations, audits, and compliance reviews.
• Support periodic access reviews and certification activities.
• Ensure fail‑safe and life‑safety compliance for emergency exits and fire‑alarm integrations.

Change & Release Management

• Raise and execute Change Management Requests (CMR) for ACS configuration changes, upgrades, and deployments.
• Perform risk assessment, rollback planning, and post‑change validation.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for planned downtime and maintenance windows.

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

• Maintain SOPs, system architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
• Support Knowledge Transfer (KT) for operations and support teams.
• Prepare technical documentation for audits, handovers, and vendor engagements.

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Access Control Systems (enterprise‑grade ACS platforms).
• Hands‑on experience with controllers, readers, biometric devices, turnstiles, and exit systems.
• Understanding of ACS communication protocols (e.g., OSDP, Wiegand).
• Experience in system integrations using APIs or middleware.
• Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls) relevant to ACS.
• Familiarity with databases, logs, and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of security best practices, compliance, and physical security standards.

Certification (Mandatory):

• Siemens- Sipass
• Lenel

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Clear and professional communication with stakeholders, vendors, and leadership.
• Process‑oriented with focus on documentation and audit readiness.
• Ability to work in 24x7 operational environments (if applicable).

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in ACS or Physical Security Systems for enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting large‑scale, multi‑site deployments is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any Technology / IT / Security Management or equivalent.
• Relevant certifications in Physical Security, ACS platforms, or enterprise security (preferred)
