In this Exiting field we are looking for a Senior Database Security Specialist – Db2 for z/OS * who will join our mainframe infrastructure team to collaborate with product developers & clients to understand COBOL-Db2 security mapping & recommend security mapping for Java-Db2 environments and enhance in-house Db2 test infrastructure.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in Db2 for z/OS security aspects pertaining to COBOL-Db2 applications & Java-Db2 applications including local and remote data serving

• Good working experience with Db2 RACF security administration and implementation of “Trusted Context”.

• Expertise in application Db2 database administration including design, planning & implementation of various aspects of database management (physical structure, logical design, SQL tuning & performance)

• Solid experience in Db2 system programming (Db2 sysprog) including Db2 installation & version upgrades, RSU maintenance, installation & configuration of Db2 related products and Db2 system database administration

• Experienced in working with COBOL-Db2 and Java-Db2 mission critical applications in large customer environments under high security standards

• Open to collaborate and support clients, product developers & testers and product service & support staff

• Ability to understand customer’s COBOL-Db2 application environments and recommend system & security configurations for an equivalent Java-Db2 application environment

• Ability to create Db2 subsystems to simulate various Db2 security settings, typically present in large enterprises running COBOL-Db2 applications under high security standards

• Good understanding of Db2 SMF records, experience with Db2 performance reporting and tuning without dependency on tools

• Good knowledge in COBOL-Db2 and REXX programming

• Having additional knowledge of IMS Database Administration and COBOL-IMS DB programming will be an advantage

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution, but master’s degree is preferred

• 15+ years of experience in the above-mentioned topics
