DBA & DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a DBA & DevOps Engineer who combines strong database expertise with a passion for automation, CI/CD, containerized environments, and operational excellence.

As a Cognyter, you will:

• Design, deploy, automate, and maintain large-scale database platforms.
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines for database and infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Build automation solutions for deployment, monitoring, maintenance, backup, recovery, and upgrades.
• Work closely with R&D, Architecture, DevOps, and Product teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot complex production and performance issues across distributed environments.
• Evaluate new technologies and participate in technology research and POCs

Requirements

Your toolbox

• 3-5 years of hands-on DBA experience.
• Strong experience with Linux environments.
• Strong scripting and automation capabilities (Bash, Python, or similar).
• strong experience with SQL Server
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience working with Kubernetes and containerized platforms.
• Experience with performance tuning, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with one or more of the following databases: PostgreSQL, Greenplum, CockroachDB, ClickHouse, Sybase ASE / IQ, Elasticsearch / OpenSearch
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices is a strong advantage.
