Position Overview

At Siemens, we are pioneering the next era of industrial digital transformation through the Prescriptive Selling Platform (PSP)—a purpose-built ecosystem designed to unify and optimize our global sales operations. As the Software Engineering Associate Manager, you will help team manager lead a highly collaborative, agile team, acting as a key bridge between Product Management and Software Operations to orchestrate seamless software delivery.

You and your team will play a pivotal role in evolving PSP into an AI-ready platform—developing innovative AI use cases, transitioning to a modern client UI, and deepening integration with enterprise-grade platforms like Salesforce (SFDC) and Polarion. • Lead and develop engineering talent by supervising, hiring, training, and mentoring staff; take ownership of performance management and team growth
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers, offering hands-on guidance, problem resolution, and architectural leadership
• Design and architect robust software systems, including spearheading the re-architecting of critical internal systems to improve performance and scalability
• Ensure functional quality across all released software, driving high-quality, on-time delivery that consistently exceeds customer expectations
• Shape the technical roadmap for your product area, actively promoting innovation by introducing new technologies and advancing team capabilities
• Perform complex software engineering, working independently on advanced projects requiring deep technical judgment and architectural thinking

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Experience in software engineering and application development within complex, enterprise-level software ecosystems or large-scale industrial digital transformation environments
• Proven experience collaborating closely with Product Management and Software Operations teams to deliver production-grade systems
• Experience in supervisory and leadership roles (e.g. team leader deputy)
• Deep technical proficiency in .NET Core (C#) for robust back-end services and React for modern, responsive front-ends; solid understanding of state management and asynchronous programming
• Practical experience evolving legacy platforms into AI-ready systems, including LLM integration via APIs and AI-driven features within modern UI/UX frameworks
• Hands-on expertise architecting and managing complex integrations with Salesforce (SFDC) and Polarion; strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and secure data exchange protocols
• Exceptional skill in creating and documenting software designs using Design Patterns, Clean Architecture, or Domain-Driven Design principles; ability to lead re-architecting efforts
• Fluent in Italian and English; minimal to light travel (<15%)

• Experience with agile methodologies and scaling teams in fast-paced environments
• Familiarity with enterprise security protocols and compliance frameworks
• Background in industrial software or manufacturing technology domains

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is EUR 49 000 to EUR 81 100 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
