Scope and purpuse

The Client Executive – Italy & Southeast Europe is responsible for supporting the development and execution of Belmond’s commercial strategy across the assigned territory, acting as a Brand Ambassador and contributing to the generation, stimulation and conversion of sales opportunities across the worldwide Belmond portfolio.

Working closely with the Client Manager – Italy & Southeast Europe and the Divisional Director of Sales – Southern Europe, the Client Executive will support the management and development of existing accounts, prospect for new business and contribute to the execution of strategic sales initiatives across B2B segment.

The role will develop strong relationships with partners and industry stakeholders, while maintaining close collaboration with Belmond properties and internal teams.

The Client Executive will also provide support to the Client Manager on selected high-value client opportunities and initiatives, as required.

The role is expected to demonstrate a proactive and commercially minded approach, taking ownership of assigned accounts, projects and opportunities while contributing to the overall performance of the Southern Europe Sales team.

Main duties and responsibilities

Account Management and sales operations

  • Portfolio Management & Growth: Manage a dedicated portfolio of assigned accounts, identifying opportunities to grow Belmond’s share of wallet across all luxury travel segments.
  • Prospecting & Lead Conversion: Continuously identify and qualify new business opportunities and key contacts across the assigned region, managing follow-ups to maximize conversion.
  • Cross-Selling & Portfolio Promotion: Actively promote the global Belmond portfolio (hotels, trains, cruises) and commercial initiatives, driving cross-selling for transient and group business.

Partnership and industry events

  • Strategic Relationships: Support the development of high-value partnerships with luxury brands, corporate clients, DMCs, airlines, and regional tourism boards.
  • Trade Shows & Events: Assist in the organization and execution of sales events, roadshows, trade shows, and client activations across the region.
  • FAM Trips & Educational Visits: Coordinate and support educational trips and site inspections for top travel advisors and key decision-makers.

Support to sales leadership and regional strategy

  • Executive Support: Provide day-to-day commercial and administrative support to the Client Manager and Divisional Director of Sales on key accounts and regional priorities.
  • Market Intelligence & Reporting: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regional performance, providing feedback and contributing to monthly divisional reports.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Assist in the development and rollout of targeted regional strategies, including the Milan Key Source City project.

CRM, systems and data hygene

  • CRM & Database Accuracy: Maintain complete and accurate account, contact, and pipeline records within OSC/Salesforce.
  • Business Intelligence & Analytics: Utilize Power BI and internal analytics tools to monitor account production and track sales activity against targets.

Internal collaboration

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with property-based Sales, Revenue Management, Reservations, Marketing, and Global Sales teams to ensure smooth booking processes and strategic alignment.

The assigned geographic territories, market and industry segments, and owned Accounts may be subject to change depending on Company needs and variable market conditions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Hospitality, or Luxury Management.
  • 1 year of experience in Sales Operations, Business/Sales Analysis, or Junior Account Management (preferably in luxury).
  • Strong numerical mindset, proficiency in Excel, and experience using CRM platforms and BI tools (Power BI).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, professional poise, and strong alignment with luxury hospitality standards.
  • Passion for the luxury sector; familiarity or an existing B2B network in travel/hospitality or high-end environment is a strong plus.
  • Fluent Italian and C1 Business-Fluent English (mandatory).
  • Availability to travel across the assigned region for meetings, trade shows, and property visits.
