We are recruiting a Part-time Teacher of Humanities to join a vibrant community that develops young people's talent and potential from Mombasa to be the well-educated, ethical and pluralistic leaders of tomorrow. The Teacher will play a central role in raising the standards of student attainment and achievement in the subject area, monitor, and support student progress to aid in realizing the vision and mission of the network of Academies as articulated by His Highness the Aga Khan.
Duties and responsibilities
- Effective delivery of the MYP & Diploma programmes.
- Use of a range of monitoring and assessment strategies.
- Contribute to collaborative planning of the MYP/DP curriculum.
- Create an enabling teaching and learning classroom environment.
- Integrates the AK Strands in the teaching and learning process.
- Organization and management of teaching and learning resources.
- Supervision of Internal Assessments, Personal Project, and Extended Essay.
- Provide students with the mentorship and pastoral support necessary for holistic development.
- Contribution to the development of enrichment and residential experiences for students.
- Communicate academic concerns to relevant mentor/Head of Year.
- Provide support for non- specialists in the team.
- Inspire and motivate students gain a deeper appreciation for the subject area.
