Safety Equipment Quality Assurance Representative

TASK DESCRIPTION: This position is located in the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) Intermediate Level Maintenance Activity to provide Contractor Maintenance Services regarding the installation, operation maintenance, modification and repair of KAF aircraft. TASK REQUIREMENT: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and servicing of pilots flight equipment and related systems. This includes pilot's flight clothing, Anti-G suit, torso harness, life preservers, oxygen masks and regulators, survival radios, helmets and associated equipment, aircraft survival kits and parachutes. Additionally, two of the technicians must be proficient in the repair of On-board Oxygen Generating System components. Support on-the-job training and cross training of KAF personnel. MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS: Satisfactory completion of the United States Navy Flight Equipment School or equivalent. If equivalent training is claimed, applicant must submit copies of course descriptions to Commander, Naval Air Systems Command (PMA265-12) for evaluation. A minimum of four years� experience in flight equipment maintenance. Proficient in the use of all associated parachute rigging support equipment. Familiar with all associated Navy publications and maintenance record requirements. Familiar with Visual Information Display System/Maintenance Action Form documentation and all applicable technical publications. No security clearance is required.
