Intern - Industrial Engineering

Based at Ayathi, Biyagama

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Industrial Engineering activities related to manufacturing process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Assist in folder making and maintaining production related documentation.
• Participate in Standard Minute Value (SMV) studies and support production performance analysis.
• Assist in conducting basic mechanical operations and production process evaluations.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Support workflow optimization initiatives and continuous improvement projects within the manufacturing environment.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation related to Industrial Engineering activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production and operational objectives.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Undergraduate in Textile Engineering, Apparel Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Basic understanding of garment manufacturing processes and Industrial Engineering concepts.
• Knowledge of SMV calculations, work measurement, and production efficiency analysis will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
