Mid Software Engineer (C, Linux) | Networking Solutions

We are looking for an ambitious Mid Software Engineer to join our growing R&D team in Kaunas, Lithuania to help us grow our global presence in IoT sector by quickly and effectively responding to changing market needs and offers reliable, safe and easy-to-use solutions for such areas as Industry 4.0, Smart City, and Green Energy.

Teltonika’s networking solutions business unit develops and manufactures industrial and enterprise connectivity equipment, primarily routers, switches, gateways, and modems. Our networking devices serve clients in the most complex areas of Industry 4.0, Smart City, and Green Energy.

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain industrial protocols and services.
• Develop C applications for embedded Linux networking devices.
• Implement client and server applications using TCP/IP, UDP, and serial communication interfaces such as RS232, RS485, and USB.
• Analyse new technologies and their integration possibilities.
• Solve problems in network devices and their communication.
• Collaborate in an agile team environment, contributing to continuous improvement.
• Work closely with frontend, UI/UX, and QA colleagues to deliver innovative solutions.

What we expect of you:

• Experience in C programming.
• Basic understanding of computer networks and TCP/IP protocols.
• Knowledge of Linux based systems.
• Experience with scripting.
• Technical education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Good written and verbal English skills.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols is an advantage.
• Experience with serial communication (RS232/RS485/USB) is an advantage.
• Experience with scripting languages like Lua, Python is an advantage.
• Experience of working with OpenWRT/VyOS/Yocto is an advantage.

Salary:

We appreciate everyone's efforts and experiences, so we offer an attractive salary matching your skillset and field expertise. The salary for this position ranges from 25 Eur/h up to 36 Eur/h (~4175 Eur—6010 Eur) pre-tax, depending on your experience and expertise, with the option to get bonuses.

*In an employment agreement, we specify and define a fixed (tariff) hourly salary rate before taxes.
