B. CONTEXT
Purpose: The Manager, Strategic Marketing Programs & Partnerships is a senior individual contributor role for strategic partnership initiatives and lead the programs within and outside of the Marketing department
Context:
The Marketing Strategy & Governance function is the strategic and operational backbone of the Marketing division. It translates U9's growth ambitions into actionable commercial strategy, market & competitive intelligence, pricing and portfolio input, and integrated marketing programs.
The role operates at the intersection of strategy and execution. The incumbent is expected to drive initiatives from concept through to measurable outcomes, working across Brand, Product & Pricing, BI & Analytics, Regional Sales, and CX
C. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategic Program Management
- Own the Marketing function's initiative portfolio, including milestone tracking, dependency management, risk identification, and escalation to the Marketing Programs Director
- Design and maintain program governance frameworks to ensure cross-functional alignment and on-time delivery across concurrent workstreams
- Translate ExCo and CMO-level strategic decisions into structured implementation plans with defined owners, timelines, budgets, and KPIs
- Prepare executive-facing materials including initiative dashboards, board update decks, and Director/CMO briefing documents
- Lead post-implementation reviews for completed programs, documenting lessons learned and recommending course corrections
Commercial Partnerships & Business Development
- Own the end-to-end commercial partnership development: opportunity identification, business case development, term negotiation, contract execution, and partner onboarding
- Manage and grow active partner relationships across digital content, OTT, fintech, lifestyle, and B2B ecosystem segments
- Build and maintain a structured partnership pipeline and evaluation framework covering commercial fit, strategic value, execution feasibility, and risk
- Collaborate with Product & Pricing to validate that partnership propositions are commercially viable and competitively positioned
- Track and report on partnership performance against agreed commercial and operational KPIs
Go-to-Market Execution Support
- Coordinate GTM execution for partnership launches, cross-functional commercial campaigns, and new product/service initiatives
- Work with Brand, Regional Sales, CX, and BI to ensure launch readiness, stakeholder alignment, and post-launch performance tracking
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Maintain structured communication cadences with key stakeholders to ensure program visibility and accountability
- Support procurement and commercial negotiation processes in coordination with Finance and Legal where required

F. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge
- Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience across business development, product marketing, strategic program management, or a combination thereof
- Demonstrated experience managing PMO governance for multi-stakeholder, cross-functional programs
- Proven track record of structuring, negotiating, and closing commercial partnerships
- Prior experience in telco, digital platforms, or technology-driven ecosystems is strongly preferred
- Experience working in or reporting to a C-suite office is an advantage
Minimum Entry Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Engineering or a related field;
- Fluent English language.
