PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction began in May 2021, and first series of production commenced in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.

Job Description
As Facility Manager, you will lead the Facility Management and Security functions to ensure reliable, safe, compliant, and cost-effective operations of the site's infrastructure, facilities, and security systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- To lead the Facility Management team incl. plant maintenance team towards achieving KPIs for FCM and ensure reliable and uninterrupted infrastructure supply to buildings.
- To be responsible for the technical infrastructure, areas and spaces and infrastructural services, e.g. cleaning, catering etc. in terms of operation, planning and developing concepts for extensions.
- To be first contact for internal customers, e.g. production, concerning specific requirements, regular communication and operational topics.
- To ensure all facilities set up and maintenance according to obligations from authorities for the whole site incl. building and supply systems as well as comply with safety and environmental legislative requirement.
- To plan, supervise and coordinate facilities, incl. maintenance accordance to Bosch guideline / procedure and Uniform Building By-Laws requirement.
- Supervise out-sourced service provider in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- To coordinate and support facility operation for PgP5 operation. Ensure all documents relevant to FCM operation and maintenance records set up is up to date.
- Coordinate and involve in IATF16949 and EMS ISO14001 Environmental improvement activities, ISO45001, ISO50001 and work closely with Safety Officer (HSE) in ensuring safety work practice is enhanced in the company.
- Close collaboration with PgP1 to ensure ME and Corporate policies and directives are implemented in PgP5 accordingly, timely provide all plant facilities related reports and documents. Create synergies with PgP1.
- To continue developing necessary maintenance specializes in various disciplines (CptM) and to ensure high level of competence workforce to support the total plant maintenance activities in PgP5.
- To ensure a cost effectiveness and excellent quality for all activities carried out by FCM.
- Manage, develop and deploy effectively in house and outsource security to meet company’s security and protection objectives.
- Establish and implement Site Security Concept and procedures to employees, visitors, contractors and vendors in accordance with company policies, rules and regulations
- Work closely with C/AUP, Regional and Division PSOs, DSO and CPO to ensure align with Corporate Security Requirements and Policies.
- Lead plant ERT (Emergency Response Team) execution –Take immediate action in the event of major safety/security incidents and control the situations until the arrival of the relevant body e.g. HSE Manager or Site Management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5-10 years of professional experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience managing technical teams, contractors, and service providers, with proven stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of facility operations, maintenance management, building services, safety regulations, environmental compliance, and relevant ISO management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001).
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills, with experience in driving operational excellence, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
