Senior Tech/AE1/Tech II

What you will be doing

• Competency within Splicing Fiber Optic Cable (single mode & multi core fibers) and relevant Experience.
• Inspecting, cleaning and handling optical fiber cable and connectors
• Hauling, splicing and terminating single and 12 core fibers
• Knowledge in OTDR machine and interpretation of data
• Experience in handling/maintaining Interferometer machines and machine characterization
• Possess good analytical skills in interpreting data from test system
• Fault finding on fiber cables & rectification of work done to correct as such
• Experienced in fiber optic termination process and actual connectorization
• Monitor equipment spare parts conduct Preventive Maintenance
• Proven commitment to promoting safety, quality and environment compliance on site
• Performing any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time
• Ensure work instructions and process documents are available and updated
• Support production team to assess Work in Progress defects disposition
• Carry out in line verification and correlation of equipment efficiency for Interferometer and polishing machines.
• Well versed in handling SFP-550C polishing machines operation and periodic maintenance
• Knowledgeable in SPC and statistical analysis tool to gauge machine efficiencies and implement corrective actions to improve productivity

Qualification

• Diploma of in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering or relevant.
• At least 1 year of Equipment Maintenance/Testing experience. Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, availability of buddy, duration of learning, etc
• With good computer literacy, good communication skill.
• Experience in testers or equipment configuring and troubleshooting.
• Experience in basic documentation and work instruction implementation.
• Possess good data analytical skills
