Context & Environment
- New affiliate with new organization, 10 Operated PSCs and 8 Non-Operated
- New projects including Jerun compression, Teja-Pepulut FID, Gorek-Larak-Bakong production optimization, Kenyalang FDP, Tepat Study
- New OBO projects in SB409 (Bilit Deep), SB3K (Megah)
- Complex and demanding regulatory PETRONAS MPM framework (IOMs, MR process, ARPR, AMIR, WPB, Reporting)
Activities
Individuals will provide geophysical support to TEPMY asset teams in the following areas:
Data Analysis and Interpretations: Assist in processing and interpreting seismic data for subsurface imaging. Support structural and stratigraphic interpretation to identify prospects and optimize field development.
Mapping & Modelling: Contribute to building geophysical models and integrating them with geological and petrophysical data. Perform depth conversion using various methodologies and conduct uncertainty analysis to enhance reservoir characterization.
Field & Operational Support: Provide geophysical support during drilling and well planning activities, including shallow hazard identification and drill site safety assessment. Monitor acquisition and quality control of seismic surveys when required.
Reporting & Documentation: Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal reviews and decision making. Maintain accurate records of geophysical data and interpretations.
Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (geologists, reservoir engineers, petrophysicists) to ensure integrated subsurface understanding. Assist in planning and oversee seismic reprocessing and inversion studies according to TotalEnergies standards with collaboration from all subsurface disciplines.
Candidate Profile
The Graduate Geophysicist should be self-motivated and focused on achieving business results through a multi-discipline team. Strong teamwork and effective communication skills are essential. Technical skill requirements are as follows:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology Geoscience, Earth Sciences, or related field; with CGPA of 3.5 or higher
- Basic understanding of seismic acquisition, processing, and interpretation principles. Familiarity with geophysical software (e.g., Petrel, Sismage) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
