Junior Robotics Engineer

About the Role

International Facilities Services Ltd. (IFS Group) is expanding its Robotics & Automation capabilities and is looking for a hands-on Junior Robotics Engineer to support the deployment, operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of robotic and autonomous equipment across our facilities management operations.

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of robotics, electro-mechanical engineering, automation and smart facilities management .

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, commission and maintain autonomous cleaning robots and other robotic equipment.
• Support robot mapping, navigation, route configuration and fleet management.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, sensor, battery and software-related faults.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and basic condition monitoring.
• Support robotic equipment installations and site surveys.
• Train site teams on safe and effective operation of robotic equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance, uptime and utilization.
• Collect and analyse equipment data to identify maintenance and productivity improvements.
• Maintain accurate technical, maintenance and equipment records.
• Work with OEMs, suppliers and senior engineers to resolve technical issues.
• Support the introduction of new robotics and automation technologies into IFS operations.

Requirements

• B.Sc./B.Eng./HND in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Automation, Control or related Engineering discipline .
• 0–3 years' relevant experience; strong fresh graduates with practical/project experience are encouraged to apply.
• Good understanding of electro-mechanical systems, sensors, motors, batteries and basic control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Basic programming knowledge such as Python, C/C++ or similar is an advantage.
• Exposure to robotics, automation, IoT, PLCs or predictive maintenance is an advantage.
• Strong interest in emerging technology and hands-on engineering.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
