Project Manager (Investment Management)

At Triodos Bank, projects are the building blocks of our transformation, turning ideas into action and strategy into reality. As Project Manager, you will lead cross-functional projects that drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and innovation across our bank. Your work will ensure Triodos remains agile, resilient, and true to its mission of sustainable banking.

Initially, you will work on the implementation of the strategy for Triodos Investment Management (TIM), ensuring its successful delivery and implementation. You will work closely with the Strategic Programme Manager, TIM leadership, Strategy Execution, HR, Risk and Communications to deliver a major organisational transformation that strengthens TIM's commercial effectiveness, scalability and long-term sustainability. In the future you will manage other similar projects.

You will be collaborating with teams across the organisation to deliver projects on time, within scope, and with measurable impact.

How You Will Make a Difference

You will be the engine of execution for Triodos’ projects, ensuring they deliver real impact while aligning with our mission. Your key contributions include:

  • Planning & Organisation: Coordinate implementation activities across organisational design, HR, communications, processes, systems and governance.
  • Team Coordination: Lead and motivate project teams, clarifying roles, responsibilities, and deliverables to foster a results-driven culture.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate internal and external resources, optimising budget, time, and expertise to meet project objectives.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks, resolving issues swiftly to keep projects on track.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and report project progress, adjusting plans as needed to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and conflicts are resolved.
  • Change Embedding: Facilitate smooth transitions to operational teams, ensuring project outcomes are sustainably integrated into business-as-usual.
  • Communication & Transparency: Provide clear, decision-ready updates to sponsors, teams, and leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Document lessons learned and share best practices to enhance Triodos’ project management capabilities and methodologies.

Your Future Colleagues

You will work in a multi disciplinary team with program managers, HR and communication colleagues. You will report directly to the Lead Project and Programme Management.

You will collaborate closely with:

  • Business owners to define project scope and objectives.
  • Cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, Risk, Compliance) to ensure successful implementation.
  • Other Project Managers to share best practices and coordinate the project portfolio.

What You Will Bring

To thrive in this role, you will combine strong project management expertise with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset. Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:

  • 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in banking, financial services, or sustainability-driven organisations.
  • Experience within asset management, investment management, wealth management or broader financial services.
  • Proven experience delivering organisational redesign, target operating model and change implementation programmes.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to scope, with experience in IT, regulatory change, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset, with a bias for action and a track record of removing blockers to keep projects moving forward.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complexity and tailor messages for different audiences (from technical teams to senior leadership).
  • Experience in stakeholder management, with the ability to influence without authority and align diverse perspectives.
  • Professional proficiency of the English language (spoken & written). Additional languages are a plus
