Join Cloudy Bay and play a part in producing exceptional wines from some of New Zealand’s most iconic vineyard locations. We are currently seeking enthusiastic, motivated and hands-on Vineyard Operators to join our Marlborough Vineyards team in these permanent, full-time roles.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience across a diverse range of vineyard activities and build a long-term career within the wine industry. The roles support the day-to-day management of Cloudy Bay-owned and managed vineyards, working closely with Vineyard Managers and Assistant Vineyard Managers to deliver outstanding viticultural outcomes.
No two days are the same!
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating tractors and vineyard machinery
- Vineyard spraying, mowing, mulching, canopy trimming and cultivation
- Pruning, vine training and canopy management activities
- Irrigation system maintenance and monitoring
- Harvest operations, including machinery operation and vineyard support
- General vineyard maintenance and upkeep
- Recording operational activities, including spray diaries and timesheets
- Assisting with vineyard data collection and monitoring of pests and diseases
- Supporting health, safety and environmental initiatives across the business
Requirements
What We're Looking For: You will be a practical, hands-on team player with a strong work ethic and a genuine interest in viticulture. Ideally, you will have:
- A current Class 1 Driver Licence (essential)
- Vineyard, agricultural, horticultural, or machinery operation experience
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- A proactive approach to health, safety and wellbeing
