Business Systems Specialist

  • Mons Royale
  • Wanaka, New Zealand
  • NZD 75,000 – NZD 95,000

At Mons Royale, we believe action and adventure sports can be a force for good but most of the gear made for these sports is trashing the planet. That’s why we’re on a mission to shift riders from synthetics to natural fibres designing high-performance merino apparel that doesn’t mess up the places we love to play.

We are looking for a Business Systems Specialist to help keep the systems that power Mons Royale running smoothly today while helping us build for tomorrow.

Mons relies on a growing ecosystem of business systems, integrations and tools across product, sales, finance, marketing, operations and customer experience. This role works as part of a team to support, maintain and improve these systems, ensuring they are reliable and effective for the people who use them.

Working closely with teams across the business and external vendors, you’ll solve problems, support users, improve processes and help deliver system enhancements that make Mons easier to operate as we continue to grow.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys understanding how a business works, loves solving problems and takes pride in keeping systems running well. We’re looking for someone who has solid experience across business systems and technology, and is excited to learn, experiment and grow. The technology landscape is evolving rapidly, particularly in AI, automation and connected business systems, and we're looking for someone who is curious about what's next and motivated to help Mons take advantage of those opportunities in practical ways.

What you'll do

  • Support, maintain and optimise systems across the business, including tools such as NetSuite, Shopify, Nuorder and PowerBI.

  • Monitor business applications, integrations and data flows to ensure reliability, performance and data integrity.

  • Partner with teams across the business to troubleshoot issues, resolve problems and improve the user experience.

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes and reduce manual effort.

  • Support the delivery of system enhancements, integrations and technology projects that improve how we operate.

  • Assist with reporting and business intelligence initiatives to improve access to information and decision-making.

  • Coordinate external technology partners, consultants and support providers.

  • Champion continuous improvement and practical use of AI and automation tools across the business.

Requirements

What you'll bring

  • A genuine connection to what we stand for, pushing boundaries to drive change in an industry dominated by plastics.

  • Hands-on experience supporting and improving business systems, integrations or technology operations, with a track record of making things work better.

  • A process improvement mindset. You spot inefficiency, question how things are done, and enjoy removing manual work through automation.

  • Strong problem-solving skills. You can identify issues, work through solutions and follow things through to completion.

  • Experience delivering technology projects or system improvements from requirements gathering through to deployment and user adoption.

  • Comfortable working with data, and focused on accuracy, consistency and quality of business information.

  • A practical, people-first approach to helping teams adopt systems, through training, documentation and hands-on support.

  • Curious about technology, AI tools and emerging ways of working.

  • Collaborative and able to work effectively across teams and with external partners.

  • A clear communicator who can translate between technical partners and business teams.

  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
