The Role
We are seeking a full-time permanent lecturer to join our Building Surveying Lecturing Team. This role is able to be carried out remotely or with a hybrid working model. Some travel within New Zealand may be required for in-person block-course delivery.
Our Building Surveying lecturers deliver high-quality, industry-aligned teaching across our building surveying programmes, contributing directly to learner success and the ongoing development of our curriculum by:
- Designing and delivering engaging learning to connect regulatory knowledge to real-world building control practice.
- Developing and reviewing course materials, assessments and learning resources to reflect current legislation, standards and industry practice.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback on assessments.
- Participate in moderation, programme review and quality assurance.
What You'll Bring
- Substantial experience in building surveying or building control (BCA, BOINZ, Council or TA)
- In-depth knowledge of the Building Act 2004, NZ Building Code and building regulatory environment
- Qualification at Level 6 or above in a relevant field
- Teaching qualification (L5+), OR commitment to work towards one
- Reliable, high-speed internet connection to support seamless online delivery.
