Job Description

Mō te tūranga | About the opportunity

Duties are varied, active, and stimulating with lots of personal interaction. You will ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Cafe service, maintain compliance with our Food Control Plan. You will thrive in a beautiful high end cafe environment, and enjoy enriching the lives of our residents. You'll also be responsible for:

• Ensuring all customers have a great experience
• FOH service and cash handling
• Baking, prepping and serving cabinet food
• Ordering supplies as required
• Set up and pack down each shift
• Maintaining our cafe cleaning, safety, and hygiene standards

Qualifications

To tatou kaitono pai | What you bring

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen and/or cafe
• Exceptional cooking and baking skills
• Excellent food hygiene practices and a commitment to safe working practices
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Flexibility, adaptability and able to work well under pressure with good time management.
• Empathy towards older adults, good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Honesty, reliability, and integrity.
• Current NZ Food Safety Certificate.

Shorescape: , Fri, Sat Sun Mon and Tues 0700-1400
