Regional Coordinator
- Orbit Marketing
- Christchurch, New Zealand
- NZD 52,000 – NZD 62,400
About the role
Orbit Marketing is New Zealand's highest-selling experiential marketing agency, running in-store sampling, activations, and promoter programmes for some of the country's best-known brands. We're looking for a Regional Coordinator to be the on-the-ground engine behind our Christchurch and wider South Island campaigns, working 20 hours per week.
This is a hands-on, field-based role — not a desk job. You'll be staffing and managing a team of Brand Ambassadors (BAs), training them to hit sales targets, visiting live activations to keep them running smoothly, and handling the day-to-day logistics that make sure every campaign lands on time and on brand. If you're someone who thrives on being out in the field, solving problems on the fly, and keeping a team organised and motivated, we want to hear from you.
Why you'll enjoy working here
- Real ownership of a region. You'll run the show across Christchurch and the South Island — staffing shifts, training BAs, troubleshooting on event day, and being the go-to person the team relies on. It's autonomy with impact, not a support-seat role.
- Variety over routine. No two days look the same — one day you're training new BAs, the next you're out visiting a live shift, managing kit logistics, or mystery shopping in-store. If you like being on the move rather than behind a desk, this is built for you.
- Be the backbone of a national brand's campaigns. Your work directly drives the sales results and client reporting behind Orbit's activations — a genuinely important, visible role in how campaigns succeed on the ground.
What you'll be doing
- Staffing campaign shifts across Christchurch and the wider South Island region, filling rosters via our staff management software
- Being contactable and responsive — clear, timely communication is essential to this role
- Training BAs both pre-campaign (online and in-store) and on all relevant talent training, with a strong focus on hitting campaign sales targets
- Managing BAs day-to-day during live campaigns, and fostering a team culture that supports retention
- Visiting shifts in person and providing support where it's needed
- Taking campaign photos for client reporting and Orbit's own marketing
- Creating and managing campaign kits, topping up collateral during a live campaign
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and functional storage unit
- Organising kit swaps between BAs and couriers for kit movements between regions
- Monitoring BA survey completion, ensuring it's done on time and to a high standard
- Proactively troubleshooting issues that come up on event day
- Mystery shopping Brand Ambassadors in-store
- Taking on other tasks as directed by your manager, the board, or delegated staff
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a support role
- Enthusiasm, a willingness to work closely with the Orbit management team, and a genuine roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
- A restricted or full NZ driver's licence — required
- Your own reliable car — required
What we expect from you
- Punctuality and reliability
- The ability to prioritise workload and get urgent, high-value work done to a high standard
- A positive contribution to team culture
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Responsible management of business resources
- A commitment to health and safety in everything you do
