Landscape Construction Foreman

Summary:

As a Landscape Construction Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising multiple crews and subcontractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to The Plant People's high-quality standards. This includes coordinating hard landscaping and civil construction works such as retaining walls, paving, concreting, drainage, structures, and general site works.

Responsibilities:

• Leading and supervising multiple crews across active construction sites.
• Planning and coordinating daily site activities.
• Setting out works from plans and specifications.
• Managing subcontractors, suppliers, materials, plant, and equipment.
• Maintaining strong health and safety standards.
• Monitoring quality and compliance throughout project delivery.
• Identifying variations and additional works opportunities.
• Building positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and team members.
• Mentoring and developing staff while leading by example.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 4+ years' experience in landscape construction or site supervision.
• Strong knowledge of civil and hard landscaping construction methods.
• Experience coordinating multiple crews and subcontractors.
• The ability to read plans, specifications, and set out works accurately.
• Strong planning, job costing, and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership capability.
• A commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Current Site Safe Supervisor Gold Card, First Aid, and Growsafe certifications.
• A clean New Zealand driver's licence (Class 1 and preferably Class 2).
