Introduction

The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

• pre-assessment for MRI under sedation
• assist in the sedation, and monitoring during and after MRI procedures.
• ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of research related activities
• visit different households in communities to ensure successful completion of the data collection in their areas including quality control
• maintain good working relationship with staff, community members and stake holders
• interview and follow up with the research study participants and update their schedule of visits according to study protocol
• ensure proper data collection as per the project guidelines
• provide training to the staff as per the protocols and guidelines of study
• prepare and present periodic project related activity reports
• keep track and follow-up with research teams on progress reports of the project
• provide assistance in the preparation of periodic research and progress reports • ensure quality control by random checks and field monitoring.

Requirement

You should have:

• a BScN degree with a valid PNC license or equivalent
• at least one year of relevant experience, preferably in community settings
• good interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
• proficiency in the use of computer applications, particularly MS Office
• ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
• ability to work effectively in teams and resilience to cope-up with work pressure
• good report writing skills and willingness to work in the community settings and travel to field sites
