Senior Research Assistant (Part-time), Biological and Biomedical Sciences

This is a short-term grant-funded contractual position.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

• assist the Principal Investigator in planning, managing, and conducting research projects by determining theoretical aspects of problems and selecting appropriate methods of approach
• conduct field sampling of families with genetic disorders, experiments, and develop instrumentation and techniques to record and collect test results
• tabulate and correlate research data and interpret the results
• prepare write-ups of results, research manuscripts, presentations, and grant proposals
• assist students and laboratory staff in setting up and conducting laboratory sessions.

Requirements

You should have:

• enrolled in the MBBS programme
• fresh to one year of relevant experience
• working knowledge and skills in laboratory techniques
• experience in field sampling
• proven ability to work with a certain degree of autonomy and function effectively in a team environment
• ability to contribute intellectual input to the assigned research project
• result-oriented approach and ability to meet deadlines.
