Job Description

Thuraya is a destination that celebrates the rich culinary heritage of Lebanon. Set in an ambiance of artisanal craftsmanship, the restaurant offers a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. Guests can enjoy signature Lebanese dishes in an elegant indoor setting or on a scenic outdoor terrace.

As a Waiter / Waitress, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional and personalized service to our guests, ensuring every dining experience reflects the quality, warmth, and hospitality that Thuraya represents.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and warmly acknowledge guests upon arrival and throughout their dining experience.
• Present menus, explain dishes, ingredients, and daily specials with confidence and professionalism.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure all requests are communicated clearly to the kitchen and bar teams.
• Provide attentive and personalized table service while anticipating guests’ needs.
• Maintain excellent knowledge of the restaurant’s menu, Lebanese cuisine, beverages, and service standards.
• Ensure tables are properly set, maintained, and cleared according to restaurant standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal and respond promptly to any requests or concerns.
• Coordinate closely with the kitchen, bar, hostess, and other service colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues to the supervisor or manager when required.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, health, and safety standards.
• Support the team during busy periods and contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including preparation and cleaning of the restaurant.
• Ensure all billing and payment procedures are handled accurately and professionally.
• Maintain a clean, polished, and professional appearance at all times.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Waiter / Waitress in a high-end restaurant, luxury hotel, or premium dining environment.
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service.
• Positive attitude, professional appearance, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong team player with a genuine willingness to support colleagues.
• Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Knowledge or experience with Lebanese / Middle Eastern cuisine is highly desirable.

Qualifications
