Purpose:
To lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of technology projects, ensuring agreed scope, timelines, budget, quality, risks, and business objectives are effectively managed and achieved.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage technology projects from initiation and planning through execution, deployment, and closure.
Define project scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
Coordinate across business, engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, operations, and vendors.
Monitor progress and ensure delivery against agreed milestones and commitments.
Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes.
Manage project budgets and track financial performance.
Manage vendor deliverables, SLAs, and commercial dependencies.
Facilitate governance meetings and provide clear status reporting, including to SteerCo.
Ensure deliverables meet agreed quality, change-governance, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate readiness, implementation, and transition activities for production deployment.
Maintain project documentation, decisions, risks, actions, and lessons learned.
Escalate critical risks and delivery challenges in a timely manner.
Line ownership:
Own and prioritize the product backlog for assigned squads.
Translate business objectives into epics, features, and clearly written user stories with acceptance criteria.
Define and communicate product roadmap and release scope.
Make day-to-day scope and trade-off decisions on behalf of the business.
Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are reflected in backlog items.
Accept completed work against defined acceptance criteria.
Act as primary point of contact between squads and business stakeholders.
People Management:
Participate in the identification and recruitment of key talent for the department.
Manage, guide, and support direct reports in line with set policies and procedures.
Set performance objectives, provide support, appraise the team, and give regular feedback.
Uphold a high-performance working environment and promote the organization’s values.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
6+ years in technology delivery, including end-to-end ownership of complex projects.
Experience owning a product backlog and working directly with Agile delivery teams.
Payments, banking, or regulated financial services experience..
Professional Certificates (PMP or PRINCE2, plus CSPO/PSPO or equivalent product certification)
