Job Purpose:
Lead and oversee end-to-end logistics center operations, including warehousing, inventory control, distribution, transportation coordination and customer service. Ensure safe, compliant, efficient and cost-effective operations while achieving service, quality, inventory accuracy and customer satisfaction objectives. Drive operational excellence through process optimization, technology, automation and effective leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead daily logistics center operations covering inbound, storage, inventory control, order fulfilment, dispatch and distribution.
- Optimize warehouse capacity, labor, equipment and shift plans to meet changing operational volumes and service requirements.
- Establish and monitor KPIs for inventory accuracy, dock-to-stock, put-away, picking productivity, order-fill rate, dispatch accuracy and DIFOT.
- Lead the implementation and effective use of WMS, TMS, automation and operational dashboards.
- Develop SOPs, process flows, controls and labor productivity standards across logistics activities.
- Oversee cycle counting, stock reconciliation, audits and corrective actions to protect inventory integrity.
- Manage customer SLAs, operational reviews, escalations and continuous service improvement.
- Oversee transportation and fleet coordination, including route optimization and delivery performance.
- Prepare and manage operating budgets, forecasts, cost provisions and annual productivity or cost-reduction initiatives.
- Support solution design, pricing, tender responses and operational readiness for new logistics accounts or projects.
- Lead greenfield, expansion, change-management and process-improvement projects.
- Build team capability through clear objectives, coaching, succession planning and performance accountability.
Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports:
- Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions to ensure controlled and consistent operations.
- Prepare accurate and timely MIS, inventory, operational, customer-service and financial reports in line with corporate requirements.
Safety, Quality & Environment
- Apply safety, quality and environmental policies, procedures and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance and responsible operations.
- Promote a zero-harm culture through inspections, toolbox talks, training, incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Maintain applicable cold-chain, food-safety, hazardous-material and ISO control requirements according to the logistics center scope.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve systems, processes, service, cost and productivity using international best practice and Lean methodologies.
- Lead process re-engineering, automation and data-led improvement initiatives.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related discipline; master's degree or MBA preferred.
- Minimum 12–15 years of progressive experience in logistics, warehousing and distribution operations, including leadership of large or multi-site operations.
- Proven experience in 3PL/4PL, contract logistics, budget management, cost control and customer SLA management.
- Experience with WMS/TMS implementation, warehouse automation and operational improvement.
- Experience in cold chain, FMCG, retail, HoReCa, pharmaceutical, hazardous materials or industrial logistics is advantageous.
