APU Manager Assembly

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or operations management

• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.

• Solid knowledge of production processes, continuous improvement methodologies, and lean manufacturing principles.

• Experience with KPI management, performance monitoring, and problem-solving techniques.

• Good understanding of quality, safety, and operational excellence standards.

• Experience in budget planning, cost control, and resource management.

• Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.

• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office applications.

• Fluent in English; French and/or German is an advantage.

  Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Autonomous Production Unit (APU), representing the department both internally and externally.

• Drive operational excellence by ensuring the achievement and continuous improvement of performance targets.

• Support and actively contribute to the implementation and sustainment of the Manufacturing Operating System (MOS).

• Foster effective communication within the production unit and facilitate regular performance and operational review meetings.

• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including Productivity, FTF, Scrap, OTD, OOE, Launch performance, and other operational metrics.

• Define departmental objectives, establish action plans, and ensure the availability of resources required to achieve business goals.

• Ensure equipment reliability, machine availability, and compliance with 5S standards throughout the production area.

• Promote and enforce compliance with company policies, procedures, work instructions, and health & safety requirements.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, quality, and overall operational performance.

• Lead, coach, develop, and motivate team members, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous learning.

• Contribute to the preparation of annual operating and capital expenditure budgets and monitor costs to ensure effective budget control.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production targets, process optimization, and new product launches.
