Operations Executive

Froid des Mascareignes (FDM) is a cold-storage company exclusively dedicated to seafood product storage which also offers packing and export services.

The cluster represents IBL’s investments in the vertically integrated Mauritian tuna value chain. Being a considerable source of revenue for the group, as well as an important forex earner for the country, IBL Seafood will soon be converting its effluent into energy through Energie des Mascareignes, making its tuna operations the island’s first zero-waste industry from the fish caught to the final co-products, thus contributing to IBL’s sustainability objectives. Marine Biotechnology Products Côte d’Ivoire is part of the Cluster’s international expansion.

Job Purpose
We are looking for a highly experienced and results-driven Operations Executive to join our Operations team. The successful candidate will support management in monitoring and optimizing operations related to fish unloading, cold storage management, inventory monitoring, and delivery to clients.
The role requires a strong focus on ERP reporting, operational analysis, delivery planning, and coordination with supervisors to ensure that operational activities are conducted efficiently and in line with company standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Support the Head of Operations in overseeing daily operational activities.
• Monitor and coordinate with Supervisors responsible for unloading, storage, and delivery operations.
• Ensure that operational processes are conducted efficiently and in compliance with company procedures and food handling standards.
• Manage and monitor operational data through the ERP system, while ensuring accuracy of stock movements, operational records and improvement to maintain best practices.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management.
• Conduct delivery planning and performance analysis to ensure timely service to clients.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor operational KPIs such as delivery timelines, stock movement, productivity, and operational performance.
• Provide guidance to operational teams regarding system usage, reporting procedures, and operational compliance.
• Support management during audits, operational reviews, and internal assessments.
• Ensure proper coordination between warehouse operations, logistics teams, and delivery services.
• Prepare cost analysis reports and highlight variances against operational budgets.
• Contribute to budget planning and forecasting by providing operational data and analysis.
• Provide training and guidance to the delivery team to ensure efficient operations, compliance with company procedures, and continuous improvement in service performance.

Qualifications & Experience
• Diploma in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in fisheries, logistics, cold storage, or warehouse operations.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, operational reporting, and data analysis.
• Excellent planning, coordination, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work closely with senior management and operational teams.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
