The Sr Financial Analyst (SFA) supporting the Segment P&L plays a critical role in supporting enterprise financial planning, forecasting, and executive reporting. This position is responsible for consolidating company-wide financial results, providing meaningful insights to senior leadership, and partnering across the organization to drive accurate forecasting and informed decision making. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment with significant visibility to executive leadership. This position reports to the Manager of Finance for FP&A.

Responsibilities

• Lead the consolidation of enterprise financial forecasts and budgets across all business segments
• Analyze consolidated results to identify key drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities impacting company performance
• Partner with finance teams throughout the organization to coordinate forecast submissions, validate assumptions, and provide the necessary level of detail to explain variance analysis
• Manage forecasting and analysis for U.S. Stores Other Margin and Royalties, providing clear visibility into performance drivers and emerging trends
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to facilitate strategic and tactical decision making, including Bookstore performance and future channel analysis
• Support key financial review meetings through development of materials, financial storytelling, and performance insights
• Build strong relationships with finance and business partners across the organization to support planning and forecasting processes
• Identify opportunities to improve forecasting, consolidation, and reporting processes through automation and standardization

Qualifications

Qualifications

• 4-5 years in a Financial Analysis and/or accounting environment
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
• Experience in a retail environment preferred
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior leadership
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Must be a problem solver and be able to function in a high volume, fast-paced environment that serves many high-profile customers
• Proven ability to think analytically and creatively while maintaining financial controls
• Ability to communicate in an effective and clear manner with leaders to influence business decisions through fact-based analyses
• Excellent oral and written presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work in a dynamic environment
• Highly motivated and demonstrates independent initiative in performance against objectives
• Exhibit leadership competencies and professional maturity in dealing with peers and leaders
• Ability to distill, articulate and model complex business questions/matters
• Conducts all work in a confidential, ethical, and professional manner
• Ability and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in business finance or accounting
• MBA with focus in finance and/or accounting, preferred
• Financial accreditations and/or CPA, preferred
