  • Establishes, verifies, and maintains the project survey control network (total station, level loops, GNSS), and performs and reviews survey control field work including network least squares adjustments.
  • Performs verifications of subcontract survey control points and work, and validates subcontractor survey submittals.
  • Performs and checks survey computations, examines the accuracy of field data and collection methods, and prepares survey reports for all project disciplines and scopes.
  • Provides construction survey support to both Field Engineering and Field Supervision, including field data inspections of commodity installation readiness for pre-pours and post-pours.

  • Maintains the project survey as-built model and provides civil project completion documentation including as-built records.
  • Imports and exports survey data, maintains layer management and CAD standards, and maintains and processes monitoring and settlement data.
  • Administers the survey work request program and survey data, coordinating requests with survey field personnel and craft professionals.

  • Supports implementation of the project's machine control technology, the UAV (drones) program, and 3D laser scanning operations including reality capture and processing of scan data.
  • Supports the measuring and test equipment (M&TE) process, weekly and monthly equipment collimation requirements, calibration baseline checks, and maintains calibration logs.

Safety / Quality Control

  • Supports the survey team's implementation of the project safety, quality, and environmental programs, and ensures the zero accident philosophy is adhered to in the operational area.
  • Reviews project design and engineering documents, model, and model data to ensure completeness and readiness for safe layout and verification.
  • Draws field sketches and as-built drawings, and supports Field Engineering in preparation of non-conformance reports, design change notices, and requests for information.
  • Prepares daily and periodic photographic progress reports, keeps supervisors informed on progress, and supports excavation permits and subsurface utility coordination.
