RPS Labeler

About Us

The RPS Labeler is responsible for accurately identifying, labeling, and coordinating the flow of insulated garage door sections throughout the production process. This role focuses on reading and interpreting work orders, applying correct product labels and markings, organizing and stacking finished materials, coordinating back-of-line activities, and ensuring orders are processed efficiently and accurately.

Shift: Monday - Thursday; 7am - 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately read and interpret work orders to ensure products are labeled, identified, and processed according to customer and production requirements.
• Apply correct labels and markings to door sections and finished products, verifying accuracy and quality before shipment or further processing.
• Coordinate back-of-line activities to maintain workflow, prioritize orders, and ensure production schedules are met.
• Stack, organize, and prepare finished product in accordance with established safety, quality, and packaging standards.
• Move carts, materials, and complete orders throughout the production area to support efficient operations and continuous workflow.
• Monitor order status and communicate with team members to ensure proper sequencing, completion, and shipment readiness of customer orders.
• Cross-train across multiple production and labeling functions to provide operational support and maintain productivity as business needs require.
• Inspect completed work for quality standards and report discrepancies, damaged materials, or labeling errors to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet daily production goals while following all safety and quality procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment by performing routine housekeeping and cleanup throughout the shift.
• Perform any other duties or special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to read and accurately interpret work orders, production schedules, labels, and product specifications.
• Basic math skills with the ability to read a tape measure.
• Basic computer and data entry skills, including the ability to navigate production systems, enter information accurately, and review electronic work orders.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify labeling, marking, and order discrepancies.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and coordinate workflow in a fast-paced production environment.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and complete required production documentation.
• Basic problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize and report quality, safety, or production issues.
• Willingness and ability to cross-train in multiple production functions.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.

Other Job Responsibilities and Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. unassisted with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull materials weighing more than 45 lbs. using team lifting procedures.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods (8–12 hours per shift).
• Ability to safely move and operate material handling equipment throughout the manufacturing floor.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs and/or ladders as required for job tasks.
• Ability to use hands, wrists, and fingers for handling materials, writing, and computer work.
• Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced industrial environment.
• Ability to work in hot and cold environmental conditions.
