What does this role look like?

• The successful candidate for this position will collaborate within the Global Supply Chain (GSC) Operations Team and the larger Space GSC team to manage large supply chain process development, rollout, and sustainment activities.
• The successful candidate will support these initiatives by developing and executing plans and schedules, managing project data and file architectures, and analyzing data to inform decision-making and effective change management.
• This project management activity is essential in our delivery of our critical processes and supplier analyses as we experience a significant ramp-up in production.

This role will offer you the following daily challenges:

• Manages subordinate teams overseeing subcontractors or critical subcontracted systems for all contract types and programs, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company policies.
• Directs and manages all costs, quality, schedule, financial, and technical performance requirements that are levied on the subcontractor or the product family and is required to ensure performance and support of the contract milestones of the system.
• Develops sourcing and subcontract program management strategic plans that address overall program capture needs, execution, and risk management. Acts as the main focal point to the subcontractor and program management office.
• Responsible for and directs all phases of the subcontract from initiation of the business case for make or buy decisions through requests for proposals, transition to program startup, subcontract management plans, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution, and contract closeout.
• Makes informed decisions affecting the performance of the subcontractor.
• Establishes milestone objectives to manage performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications. Leads a cross-functional team, normally composed of engineers, quality, and procurement personnel, to ensure successful subcontract execution and program delivery.

Basic Qualifications

To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
• Project management: experience with efficient management of project logistics.
• Experience with process design, development and improvement methodologies.
• Experience interfacing with all levels of employees, to include executive leadership
• Deep understanding of one or more key supply chain business processes: Procurement, Subcontract Management, Risk Management, Resiliency, Supplier Performance, etc.

Desired Skills

To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• 5+ years in Supply Chain Management (i.e… Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, proposal, and/or Category Management)
• Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to collect and analyze data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions to complex problems.
• Facilitation experience: Ability to lead a team of stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, stakeholders, and team members, both verbally and in writing.
• Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of business operations, finance, and strategy.
• Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.

Pay Information

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.

• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $161300.00 - $299500.00
  • Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): :$145100.00 - $269500.00
  • Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): :$129000.00 - $239600.00
  • Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): :$116100.00 - $215700.00
  • Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Ocala, FL; Lufkin, TX; etc.

• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
