Position Summary
Daniels Health is seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Maintenance to lead the strategic direction of maintenance, asset reliability, facilities infrastructure, and operational equipment performance across our North American network. As a key member of the Operations Leadership Team, this role develops and executes enterprise-wide maintenance and reliability strategies that support operational excellence, safety, scalability, profitability, and long-term growth. The Director will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Safety, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership to build and sustain world-class maintenance programs across multiple sites.
Strategic Leadership & Organizational Development
• Develop and execute the long-term maintenance and reliability roadmap.
• Establish enterprise maintenance standards, governance, SOPs and KPIs.
• Build high-performing maintenance teams through coaching, succession planning and leadership development.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on asset strategy, operational risk and infrastructure investments.
• Champion a culture of accountability, innovation, safety and continuous improvement.
Asset Reliability & Performance Excellence
• Lead predictive, preventative and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
• Drive OEE, uptime and asset utilization improvements across all facilities.
• Implement CMMS, automation, IIoT and data-driven maintenance solutions.
• Lead root cause analysis initiatives and eliminate recurring failures.
• Develop asset lifecycle and replacement strategies.
Capital Planning & Financial Management
• Own maintenance operating budgets and capital investment planning.
• Develop business cases and ROI models for strategic projects.
• Lead major equipment upgrades, facility improvements and automation investments.
• Manage vendor partnerships, contracts and service performance.
Technical & Operational Leadership
Oversee maintenance strategy for boilers, autoclaves, wash lines, robotics, conveyance systems, compactors, utilities and other critical production assets. Provide technical leadership, audit site performance, ensure compliance and support emergency operational response when required.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering required.
• 10+ years of progressive maintenance leadership experience.
• 5+ years leading multi-site operations.
• Proven experience managing large-scale capital projects and reliability programs.
• Expertise with CMMS platforms, predictive maintenance and industrial automation technologies.
