Learning Consultant

We are seeking a strategic and business-focused Learning Consultant to support digital learning initiatives that drive dealer and customer adoption of Caterpillar's digital products and services.

This consultant will identify learning needs, design scalable learning solutions, develop role-based learning pathways, and partner with stakeholders across product, business, and dealer organizations. The ideal candidate combines instructional design expertise, business acumen, and emerging AI-enabled learning practices to create impactful learning experiences tied directly to operational performance and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Learning Strategy & Analysis

Conduct learning needs assessments and performance gap analyses.

Identify role-specific learning requirements.

Develop learning objectives tied to business outcomes.

Align training programs with digital transformation initiatives.

Curriculum Development

Design and support role-based learning pathways.

Build certification programs and onboarding experiences.

Create scalable learning solutions supporting dealer adoption.

Ensure content aligns with learner needs and business priorities.

Content Creation & Instructional Design

Develop content using:

Articulate Rise 360

Storyline 360

Clipchamp

LMS platforms

Create job aids, videos, eLearning modules, guides, and digital learning assets.

Apply adult learning principles and engagement strategies.

AI-Driven Learning Innovation

Leverage AI tools to:

Accelerate content development

Improve content maintenance

Enhance learner experiences

Streamline analysis and evaluation processes

Stakeholder Collaboration

Partner with:

Product Teams

SMEs

Vendors

Enterprise Learning Teams

Dealer Organizations

Gather learner feedback and stakeholder input.

Ensure content reflects current business priorities and field needs.

Change Management & Adoption

Support digital transformation initiatives.

Develop adoption-focused learning strategies.

Drive alignment between learning solutions and performance outcomes.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

Analyze training effectiveness and learner engagement.

Utilize LMS reporting and learning analytics.

Continuously refine content and learning experiences.

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
