Extraction Solutions Associate, BDOADVANTAGE

Job Summary:

As a member of the BDOADVANTAGE team, the Extraction Associate is responsible for supporting data extraction and transformation efforts across multiple client ERP systems. This role supports the design, development, and implementation of standardized ETL workflows, tools, and methodologies used by audit professionals. The position requires a technical foundation, the ability to troubleshoot data challenges, and a focus on improving data quality, consistency, and scalability.

Job Duties:

• Supports data extraction activities across various ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Sage)
• Assists in building and executing ETL workflows using tools such as Excel, Alteryx, SQL, or Power BI
• Performs data preparation tasks, including cleansing, formatting, and validating datasets
• Applies defined extraction procedures and follows established workflows and methodologies
• Identifies data inconsistencies and escalates issues to senior team members
• Assists in documenting extraction processes and maintaining workflow documentation
• Other duties as required

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree, required; focus in Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, preferred

Experience:

• Experience with data extraction, data engineering, or data analytics, preferred
• Audit, assurance, or accounting client service experience, preferred
• Experience working with large-scale financial or transactional datasets, preferred

Software:

• Familiarity with data transformation and data preparation techniques, required
• Experience with any of the following ETL resources, preferred
  • Power BI, Fabric, or Alteryx
  • Azure Data Factory or Databricks
  • SQL Database
  • MS Excel and Power Query

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range: $80,000 - $90,000
Maryland Range: $80,000 - $90,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $80,000 - $90,000
