Commercial & Industrial Tire Service Technician Location: Asheville, NC Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $25 per hour Position Summary McCarthy Tire is looking for a skilled, motivated, and dependable Commercial & Industrial Tire Service Technician to join our team in Asheville, NC. This is a hands-on, hybrid service position providing tire service across commercial trucks, heavy-duty vehicles, industrial equipment, forklifts, and rubber-tracked equipment. Technicians will work both in our facility and at customer locations, providing professional service, inspections, repairs, and emergency roadside assistance. This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial tire technician, as well as a passenger tire technician looking to expand their skills into commercial, industrial, press, and track tire service. What You'll Do

• Mount, dismount, balance, rotate, repair, and service commercial and heavy-duty tires.

• Service industrial pneumatic tires, solid tires, metal band press tires, and rubber tracks.

• Perform tire inspections, repairs, replacements, and related service as directed by the Service Manager.

• Provide mobile and roadside service at customer locations.

• Respond to commercial and industrial service calls with professionalism, urgency, and a strong focus on safety.

• Operate company service vehicles safely and responsibly while complying with all traffic laws and company policies.

• Maintain accurate, professional, and timely service practices.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Participate in required training and continuously develop commercial and industrial tire service skills.

• Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and job requirements.

• Work independently in the field while also contributing effectively as part of a team.

• Take on additional responsibilities and duties as needed.

What You'll Bring

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

• Experience with commercial, heavy-duty, industrial, or passenger tires is preferred but not required.

• Experience with commercial or heavy-duty tire mounting, dismounting, repair, or service is a plus.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn specialized tire service.

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to customer service.

• Ability to work safely in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work independently and respond professionally to mobile and roadside service calls.

• Ability to work Monday–Saturday and participate in an overnight on-call rotation.

• Willingness to learn new skills and take on increasingly specialized responsibilities.

Training & Career Development Specialized training is provided. Technicians with passenger or commercial tire experience will have the opportunity to expand their skill set into specialized industrial, press, solid tire, and rubber track service.
