TEKsystems is partnering with a global organization looking to add an IT Support Specialist to their team. This is a hands-on support role supporting multiple facilities throughout southern Indiana. The right candidate will enjoy solving technical issues, working directly with end users, and taking ownership of both day-to-day support and larger IT projects.
Location & Travel
This position is based out of Franklin, IN and requires onsite support across several area facilities. Occasional travel between local sites is required, with mileage reimbursement and any necessary hotel accommodations covered.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide onsite technical support for desktop, laptop, printer, mobile device, and peripheral issues
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software problems for end users
- Support devices such as monitors, keyboards, mice, scanners, printers, RF scanners, mobile phones, and tablets
- Install, configure, and deploy hardware, software, and operating systems
- Assist with onboarding, offboarding, account management, and user support requests
- Manage and maintain IT assets including procurement, inventory tracking, repairs, and replacements
- Support site projects, hardware rollouts, upgrades, and technology implementations
- Document processes, procedures, technical issues, and resolutions
- Partner with remote support teams to resolve escalated technical issues
- Assist with network and connectivity troubleshooting before engaging specialized infrastructure teams
- Support server administration, patching, updates, backups, and recovery efforts as needed
- Provide end-user training and communicate upcoming technology changes or projects
- Ensure compliance with company security standards, policies, and IT best practices
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of IT support, desktop support, service desk, or technical support experience
- Strong hardware and software troubleshooting experience
- Experience supporting Windows environments and Microsoft technologies
- Familiarity with Active Directory, user account management, and device deployment
- Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP and connectivity troubleshooting
- Experience supporting printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment
- Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to support users at all levels
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple issues in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with documentation, asset management, and process improvement initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Windows, Cisco, CompTIA, or other industry certifications
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Experience with Windows Server administration and virtualization technologies
- Experience supporting manufacturing or multi-site environments
- Exposure to disaster recovery, business continuity, or infrastructure projects

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
