INVISTA Polypropylene in Longview, TX is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to support warehouse operations in a continuous manufacturing environment. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for inventory management, material availability, and warehouse execution while supporting safe and reliable operations. You will partner with employees across the site to improve warehouse processes, support inventory accuracy, and ensure materials are available to meet business needs.
Our Team
The Warehouse Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager and leads a team responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through effective inventory management, material availability, and warehouse execution. You will work closely with maintenance, reliability, operations, production planning, procurement, sourcing, process engineering, and training resources to support the site's operational objectives.
This role participates on the warehouse business team, a cross-functional group focused on improving coordination between maintenance, reliability, operations, and warehouse personnel to support material availability and operational effectiveness.
What You Will Do
- Supervise the raw-material and spare-parts warehouse, leading two warehouse employees and supporting their growth and development through day-to-day coaching and leadership.
- Define, manage, and continuously improve processes that ensure operations and maintenance teams receive the right materials at the right time to support product quality and process reliability.
- Partner with the site reliability team to establish and maintain appropriate spare-parts inventory using SAP and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems.
- Monitor inventory levels, critical purchase orders, and invoices while collaborating with other departments to remove barriers and improve processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements and best practices that enhance warehouse safety, compliance, efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
- Manage costs associated with warehouse contractors, off-site storage, and vendor-managed inventory while helping ensure efficient warehouse operations.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with preferred suppliers to create mutually beneficial partnerships and deliver value to the business.
- Support day-to-day warehouse activities when needed, including receiving, staging, material movement, and forklift operation.
- Support warehouse operations during outages, shutdowns, and other business-critical events that may require occasional extended hours or weekend coverage.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience supervising or formally leading employees.
- Experience working in a spare-parts and/or raw-material warehouse
- Familiarity with Lean principles and continuous improvement concepts, such as 5S
What Will Put You Ahead
- Manufacturing or industrial warehouse experience.
- Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, and material optimization.
- Experience leading 5S, Lean, or other continuous improvement activities.
- Experience using SAP, Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), or another ERP system.
- Experience managing supplier relationships, purchase orders, or warehouse inventory processes.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel for inventory tracking, reporting, and data analysis.
- Experience supporting the implementation, optimization, or adoption of warehouse, inventory, or business systems.
