Position Summary

Manages general maintenance schedule and daily activity.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages members in the general maintenance Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Position Responsibilities

  • Determines the annual and future targets for department.
  • Determines annual and monthly activity plans based on targets.
  • Makes and controls departmental budget.
  • Controls department workload.
  • Maintain sales activity.
  • Develops and maintains training program for general maintenance team members.
  • Controls the schedules for general maintenance and preventative maintenance.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university, or seven (7) to ten (10) years related experience and high school diploma or G.E.D., or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the member is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The member frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The member is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
