We are seeking a motivated Lab IT Support Technician to provide technical support for laboratory environments supporting scientific research and data collection activities. This individual will serve as a key liaison between IT and laboratory personnel, ensuring the reliable operation of laboratory workstations, scientific instruments, and supporting software applications. Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support for laboratory workstations connected to scientific instruments such as HPLCs, microscopes, and other data-generating laboratory equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and system issues impacting laboratory operations.
- Support scientists, researchers, and laboratory personnel with technical issues related to instrument-connected PCs and associated applications.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to diagnose and resolve technology issues while minimizing disruptions to research activities.
- Maintain and support Windows-based desktop and workstation environments within laboratory settings.
- Assist with software installations, upgrades, patching, and system maintenance for laboratory systems.
- Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and support activities within ticketing and support platforms.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams when issues require escalation or support from specialized groups.
- Support ongoing lab expansion initiatives and provide technical coverage across multiple laboratory locations.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance laboratory IT support processes and user experience.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of IT support, desktop support, help desk, or technical support experience.
- Experience troubleshooting Windows-based hardware and software issues.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to support technical and non-technical users.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving PC, peripheral, and application issues.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple support requests and priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, quality, or research environments.
- Experience supporting scientific instruments and instrument-connected workstations.
- Familiarity with laboratory applications, data collection systems, and regulated environments.
- Understanding of laboratory workflows and the unique technical requirements of research and quality organizations.
- Exposure to GMP, GLP, GxP, or other regulated environments is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
