Part Time Research Assistant

Salary/Position Classification

• $30.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
• 10 hours per week
• 100% Remote Work Availability: No
• Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

To develop a methodology to extract rare earth element from produced water

Duties & Responsibilities

• Analyze produced water chemistry
• Develop the system dynamics model to extract rare earth element from produced water
• Sensitivity analyses of the model
• Evaluate produced water injectivity and disposal system

Required Competencies

• Able to work independently or with a team
• Detail orientated

Minimum Requirements

• MS or PhD in Geoscience or Petroleum Engineering
• Knowledge in produced/wastewater chemistry, extraction methods of elements from produced water, produced water injection and disposal
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
