We're partnering with an industry-leading organization that is modernizing critical business platforms and looking for a talented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to help drive automation, quality, and testing excellence across highly visible enterprise applications.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative engineering team where you'll have direct influence on testing strategy, automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, and the overall quality of products used by thousands of employees and customers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design and develop scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Create automated test coverage across unit, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop reusable testing utilities and frameworks for authentication, error handling, and API validation.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
- Partner with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to improve software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews and advocate for best practices related to testability and automation.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience Sr. SDET roles.
- Hands on experience creating Builder Design Pattern and Frameworks.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, TypeScript, or JavaScript. Candidates with experience in Cypress, TestCafe, Jest, Java, or Python are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience testing web applications, APIs, and enterprise-scale platforms.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative Agile environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Newport Beach, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $77.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
