Patient Services Representative

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

About the Role

We are seeking a Patient Services Representative to support daily patient interactions and administrative operations within a busy healthcare practice. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients and is responsible for scheduling appointments, coordinating provider calendars, and delivering exceptional customer service to ensure a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments
• Maintain provider schedules and appointment calendars
• Assist patients with follow-up appointments and care coordination
• Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries
• Support front office and administrative functions
• Prepare forms and routine documentation
• Maintain patient confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations
• Deliver excellent customer service while ensuring a positive patient experience

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous medical office or healthcare administrative experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with insurance verification and/or authorizations
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Abilene, TX 79606.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
