The Appleton Area School District has a position available for a 1.0 FTE Cross Categorical Special Education Paraprofessional primarily in the Vision Impairment program at Classical Charter School beginning on 08/24/2026.
The paraprofessional for blind/low vision students' role is to support the teacher, either the classroom teacher and/or the teacher for students with visual impairments, and/or others working with the student. The support is centered on specific IEP goals and objectives for the student. This support can include modifying materials, assisting with reading displayed text on the front monitor, giving one-on-one assistance in specific tasks, helping with behavior, providing opportunities for practice to reinforce previously learned skills (braille, technology, orientation and mobility), or collecting data related to IEP objectives. Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, the Unified English Braille code is encouraged.

Salary: Class I: Step 1: $17.80
